Hemlata is the Trustee on the Board of Directors of LEDS. She
has been associated with the development sector since the last fifteen years. She holds a
diploma in Ecology and Environment and a Masters degree in Political Science and Sociology. She's
led most of the LEDS' initiatives for the disadvantaged communities including the IGSSS Smile
Fellowship Program. She strives to motivate the communities and promotes sustainable livelihood
options for both rural and urban poor through advocacy measures. Her major areas of work involve
migrant workers from the unorganized sectors.
NARESH KUMAR
Trustee
Naresh is the second Trustee on the Board of Directors of LEDS.
He is an active member of the organization with an experience of over 15 years in the social
sector. He has always believed in the strength of education and has worked for similar causes
involving Dalit and migrant children. He has been associated with the Family Counseling Centre for
the last 4 years, and has also been vocal against the growing discrimination towards sewage
workers.
AWDESH YADAV
Board Member
Awdesh Yadav is the member on the Board of Directors of LEDS. He
is pursuing his Masters degree in Social Work. He has actively worked and served people from the
extremely weaker sections of the society and has played an instrumental role in the field of child
care development. He also founded SPID in New Delhi, an NGO that works towards skill development
and education of the children of sex workers.
SAJIDA
Board Member
Sajida is a member on the Board of Directors of LEDS. She is
driven by dedication and passion towards educating and empowering Muslim women of the community.
Having an experience of over 15 years in the social sector, Sajida now trains and mentors the
women of the organization.
